Vital Defense Immune IV — FAQ
Does an immune IV actually help with cold or flu?
An immune IV delivers high-dose vitamin C, B-complex, zinc, and glutathione directly into the bloodstream — bypassing the gut, which is where most of an oral vitamin C dose is excreted. Clients commonly report shortened symptom duration and faster return to baseline, especially when booked at the first sign of symptoms rather than after several days.
When should I book Vital Defense — before or during illness?
Both work. Pre-travel and pre-event bookings (before exposure risk peaks) are common. Mid-illness bookings are also common; the IV won't replace antiviral medication for the flu, but it supports your body's fight-back. If you have a fever above 102°F or active vomiting, call us before booking so we can route you appropriately.
How is this different from oral vitamin C and zinc?
Oral absorption of vitamin C plateaus around 200mg per dose; the rest is excreted. Vital Defense delivers a clinical-dose vitamin C push (multiple grams) plus B-complex, zinc, and glutathione — concentrations you can't reach orally. The bag also rehydrates, which oral supplements can't do.
How often during cold and flu season?
Most clients book Vital Defense every 3–4 weeks during the November–March window, plus extra sessions around heavy travel or known exposure. VIP members include immune-protocol IVs monthly. We don't recommend it as a daily or weekly cadence — the body responds best to spaced clinical pushes, not constant high-dose loading.
